Hi, I’m Jennifer Jaehee Hong, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#128727) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (#10905), and I provide therapy for children, teens, and adults. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma-related issues, socio/cultural/environmental related stressors, and grief/loss. I’m also passionate about working with creatives and highly sensitive people, cultural identity as a Person of Color, issues with adjustment/stressors, self-esteem, and body image. I strive to create a safe space to further encourage you to overcome oppressive narratives.
As a therapist, I am a calm, deep listener with a keen sensitivity to your needs, and I promote building a nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship through providing a warm and gentle space for you to process your unfiltered emotions. I strongly believe that we all have an innate, inner wisdom that can be unveiled through reflective conversations and processes that can facilitate growth and change. I find the importance of addressing the entire person as a whole to expand resiliency, success, and overcome adversities.
I use an eclectic approach and individualize treatment with your collaboration and input. I utilize Person Centered, Gestalt, Narrative/expressive arts, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also specialize in working with children and incorporate play, creativity, and art into treatment, as art is a transformative healing tool that releases emotional blockages within the body.
We can work together in building manageable and achievable goals to regain emotional balance, stability, and increase in quality of life.
thank you!
Jen H
